Nightwing DCnU

I wanted to try out drawing the new Nightwing costume as I've drawn pretty much every incarnation of Dick Grayson up to this point. I really wish DC let him stay being Batman to Damian's Robin because Dick's Batman was more in line with the Batman I want to read about instead of the overly grim Bruce who's usually portrayed as infallible and when he is allowed to make mistakes, people bitch about how Batman wouldn't be that dumb. And they're probably right. I just prefer the dynamic of Dick and Damian.

Anyways, the new costume I think is okay. I like the red because it alludes to the Robin costume and it's overall just not that big of a deal if he switches from one primary color to another The boots and gloves are whatever. A little more complicated than it has to be but most of the redesigns are and in that regard, Nightwing got off fairly lucky in comparison to say... Deathstroke.
